Hello,

I'm Kevin Gim, currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

My research is centered on empowering robots to assist and protect humans without modifying the environments for human to suit the robots. To realize this vision, my focus has been primarily on two areas: Haptics, to ensure safe interactions between humans and robots, and Legged Robots, to improve mobility.

Over the course of my studies, I've undertaken and successfully completed numerous projects, ranging from developing diverse robotic hardware to designing control systems for them.
